Can I have a supermarket shop delivered to our pitch/cabin/ glamping unit?

Yes, people have done this in the past! Please give our address but note that you are a customer. It’s a good idea to go wait at the bottom of the lane when the delivery is due or let the delivery driver know where you’ll be.

Where is the nearest shop / pub?

We do not have a shop on site.

There is a great well stocked village shop in Normanby by Spital 2.4 miles away. This is right next door to a great local pub which serves fantastic food called the Bottle and Glass.

The village of Welton, 4 miles away has a variety of shops like the coop, chinese takeaway, pizza takeaway, fish and chips and a good pub for food called The Black Bull.

Lincoln is about 11 miles away and has many pubs / restaurants and also all the major supermarkets.

CAMPSITE

Which pitches are best suited for large groups?

We would recommend the rally field, this field is a vast space with no pitch numbers (except electric) so you can pick your pitch aslong as you are around the edge of the field and not too close to each other.

Which pitches are closest to the play area?

Most of the pitches on the main field have some visibility to the play area and goals. However the best pitches are 16-18 and 10-11.

Do I need a special lead for electric hook up?

Yes if you have booked an electric hook up pitch and plan on having electric, you will need a caravan electric hook up cable, these usually have a blue end.

Can we stay after 12 on our pitch?

Please let us know if you would like to stay on your pitch after midday on your pitch, If there is noone coming on your pitch on your departure date this may be possible, however we will charge you £10 and check out is by 5pm.

What is the rally field?

It’s called this as historically its been used for rally’s or larger groups. These pitches (apart from the A,B,C,D electric pitches) are a first come first serve basic. You can pitch anywhere around the outside of the field that isn’t sign posted not to pitch.

Do you have picnic benches?

Yes, we do. These are for all customers to use. Please do not move these onto your pitch, they are for all customers to enjoy. (Except the gypsy caravan one / bell tent ones which are for the customers of these units only).

Can our friends visit us?

Yes, of course. However we do have visitor charges, please see prices.

Can we get the bus to local areas?

Yes, you can catch a bus from the bottom of the lane twice a day. One early morning and one around 5pm. Also call and connect buses are available.

Why isn’t the reception hut open,  I need to speak to someone.

As a small business, we would drive ourselves silly sat in the reception hut all day, this is why we have reception hours please come and see us with inquiries and pay in these hours. If there is an emergency or you need immediate attention , please call Robert on 07850679189 or Vicky on 07827818094.

How big are the pitches?

The pitches are on a generous size by most camp site standards, measuring at least 10 meters wide (most are even wider) and around the edge of a field so you have plenty of space.

Are we allowed BBQ’s/ camp fires?

Yes, we allow BBQ’s and off the ground camp fires aslong as they are off the ground and on bricks. Please feel free to borrow bricks from our pile.

(If you have booked The Ark you cannot have a BBQ or Camp Fire)

What do I do with my rubbish?

We have invested in large bins, one for general waste one for recycling. Please put your general waste in bags and then into the bin and put your recycling loose into it’s bin. You will find these at the top of the main field and near the toilet block. We pride ourselves on recycling, please see our recycling page for more information.

We are coming as a group in the rally field some of us are having electric and some are not, can we be next to each other?

The electric pitches on the rally field are fixed, however if you do not want electric you can place yourselves anywhere around the edge of the field. Therefore if you would like to be near your friends/family that have electric please go opposite them or if they book the electric pitches the furthest away from the bell tent you’re friends can go next to you (aslong as it’s not too close to the tap).

Do you accept different types of units like trailer tents, car roof tents etc and can we pitch next to our friends who have a different type of unit?

Yes we do. We accept tents, caravans, trailer tents, roof tents, converted campers, small motor homes ( no winniebago’s) etc and yes different units can pitch next to each other. See our site map for more info about our layout of pitches.

The Ark

Why cannot I not smoke near the Ark or have a bbq / campfire?

The Ark is in the middle of conifer trees, therefore fires or smoking would be very dangerous. If you would like to smoke or have a bbq please do this on the main site (but obviously not on others pitches).

Do you supply bedding?

No. Please bring your own bottom sheets, pillows & cases and either sleeping bags or quilts. There is a double bed futon and two singles in the pod.

The Log Cabins

Do the cabins have wifi?

Yes. They also have a TV with Netflix and all the popular catch up channels like BBC I Player.

Can 6 adults stay in the cabin?

Yes they can. We say 4 adults, 2 children ideally as two of the beds are bunk beds. For safety reasons please be aware the bunk beds will have a normal bunk bed weight restriction.

Do both log cabins have hot tubs?

No, at the moment just Sir Isaac Newton has a private hot tub.
